Abstract | |||
SDLINK ý Case-control studies and cohorts of patients selected from the Swedish and Danish hospital inpatient registry data were linked to the Swedish and Danish cancer registries (respectively). The case-control and cohort studies were mutually agreed upon by NCI and Swedish and Danish collaborators (several contracts were held during the 1990ýs). The exposure variables are from the hospital inpatient registries (diagnoses and surgical procedures). Analyses are done by Standardized Incidence/Mortality Ratios (SIR and SMR) and logistic regression. Several cancers are still under study, for example bladder cancer in patients with benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) and liver cancer in a Danish case-control study. |
